     Mohegan Tribe Council of Elders

The first thing that I want to say is thank you. Thank you for all the support that you have given me over the years while serving our tribe as one of the many who helped to construct and grow our business and government. It is 2026 and we continue to grow and evolve together while still maintaining the most important thing known to us, our culture, traditions, and families.

Today I am asking for your support in the upcoming Elders election.

I would be honored to continue doing that for you if chosen. I will always look ahead towards the future while at the same time never forgetting the past.

We, the elders council that serves you now have embarked on projects that will make us all proud. We have many traditional roles that the Elders commissioned in our time together that are of historical proportion. We strive for 100% Mohegan employment within our departments if possible. The COE are immersed in the well-being and care of our entire tribal family every day with remarkable results emerging. And these are all part of a small list of numerous things that , I, with your support, will continue to always make the best decisions on for all of us here today and for those yet to come.

Please take the time to vote, it is your voice in government. Please teach your children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews about how important it is to do. They are the future leaders for Mohegan.

My grandfather Joseph D. Gray, Sr. shared stories about his grandmother Mary Tracy Fielding Story and how she made sure that he stayed active and understood how important our tribe is. Mary was taught by her grandparents. We all share related stories like this, and that is why I asked you to continue the lessons helping the next 13 generations to achieve greatness. A legacy that 13 generations ago achieved.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, as your Elder
